About Us

Balancing the many roles of life on the daily is a challenging feat, and one that requires you at your most optimal physical, and psychological function. Making quick decisions, hauling long hours, and maintaining physical fitness calls for a systemized approach to your wellbeing.

At Harmonic Performance we believe in finding the right balance as we strive for success, and challenging the status quo that we must sacrifice health, money, or loved ones to achieve our dreams.

The way we challenge this status quo, is utilizing years of industry specific experience, leveraging our professional networks to put you in touch with people that have walked the path you or I may not have, and cutting-edge skills in analysis, and performance coaching, to carve out a path that is not only suited to you, but is created and owned by you.

To support this journey, we offer you ready-made training programs, educational workshops and consultancy, and automated analysis worksheets you can use straight away on your journey to harmonizing you and your team’s performance.

Coach / Founder

Matthew Carlon

Matthew has had extensive experience across several domains not limited to elite sporting environments in an AFL premiership winning club, sub-elite academies, institutes, and corporate leaders in business and innovation. Matthew’s primary skill set is one that seeks to optimize the physical being, balancing client’s time, training history, goals, and capabilities to achieve an ultimate outcome. However, he’s also by virtue of experience attained, and continues to develop a firm grasp on the psycho-social behaviours of teams and how to better optimize these for greater team success.

Matthew has also established a keen data analysis skill set, working in a Sport-Science role currently overseeing several sporting codes, and squads simultaneously at a leading Queensland private school. Matthew has and continues to hone his skills in constructing both basic and complex data frameworks that allow for the streamline and effective collation, analysis and storage of student performance and engagement data. For example; analysing team’s physical strengths, areas to develop and although a work in progress, more importantly; a targeted training or behavioural intervention, which (hopefully!) facilitate repeatable and competitive success.

Matthew continues to further both theoretical and experience related learning in a bid to support his understanding and ability to provide greater value and support to those in more business or commercial aligned roles and sectors. Commencing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in February, 2023 at UNSW he hopes that he can help bring greater synchronicity and clarity between the universal language of sport and how this can so effectively provide a framework in the corporate space.

Lastly, but certainly not least important is Matthew’s education background and skill set which has so far included; elite(or aspiring)-sporting environments (i.e. academy), diploma level education, and corporate wellness and effectiveness training workshops. It doesn’t go without saying that coaching ‘athletes with a lower training age or experience should warrant more hands-on and patient coaching but more importantly a level of education to help empower athletes to take increased ownership over their own athletic and personal success. This is a key attribute in any successful team that is able to grow and adapt to changes in role, industry, and economical times.
